Mormors systrar är trion som kan få dig att vaggas in i vardagspolitikens mustigt ironiska och fantasifulla värld. Med tre stämmor, piano, bas och trumset spelas det visjazzinfluerad barbershop-bossa med texter på svenska. Göteborg är staden vi alla älskar och framförallt bor i. På scen 19.30

Kulturnatta

Vi drar i gång med kulturfirandet redan kl 18.00 på Mitt andra hem med en bob dylan tribute som framförs av studenter från göteborgs scenhögskola.
Sen kl 21.00 så har vi äran att ha grande soul på scenen Med eget uttryck och eget material ger Grande Soul grymt sväng - skitigt och innerligt med mycket glädje och kärlek.
Sen kl 22.00 har vi en favorit i repris nämlingen half a grape intar scenen med sin sköna Jazz/blues insperarande musik.

I started out, playing American Folk with my neighbor/friend Anders and my brother Johan. We played Kingston Trio covers mainly, and did some shows at the "student nations" in Uppsala. This was '94-'96, so Anders and I were quite young (15/13), and pretty cute I guess. I wrote music and sang in Crater 98-2001: "Dream Steam" (2000), "It Takes Two to Fugue" (2000), and in Tumbleweed 2001-04: "Tumbleweed" (2002) and the 'post mortem' "Peace Conference" (2006). My solo records so far are: "The Time That Was Mine" (2003), "Everywhere You've Been" (2004), "Minor Words" (2005), "Mine Now" (2006). I'm currently playing guitars and piano/organ with Long John Brown, and will continue my solo work. On "Mine Now" I play all the intruments (hurray for me!) except the fiddle, which is played by my brother Johan.

Going, Going, Gone hail from Malmö and started out the spring of 2006 at a small recording session of Hennings songs in Thomas home. Erika came to do some backing vocals and they where great. That's the songs you can listen to above. After a couple of months Thomas started to play both bass and drums with Going, Going, Gone and from there on the band was formed. Joel joined in the spring of 2007 to play the bass and Thomas could focus on playing the drums. In the spring of 2008 Thomas and Joel left the band and in came Sebastian on bass and Jerker on drums. The first gigs with our two new bandmates went really well and this is where we are now.

The trio got transformed into a quartet in early 2007, adding the organist Tommy to the permanent roster. Over these past couple of years The Genuine Fakes have evolved into a fierce live act. Add to that their recordings and you’ve got a force to be reckoned with.

Välkommen till Tommy Tornberg & the Days of Wine and Roses myspacesida. Tommy Tornberg kommer från Uppsala och har skrivit låtar sedan 2000. Han har under den här tiden gått från traditionell singer/songwriter till att göra mer pop/rock-betonad musik. 2006 sattes bandet "the Days of Wine and Roses" (Mathias Elmersjö, Rickard Hofberg, John Hammarbäck, Daniel Angebrand, Mikael Nordlöf-Fröjd och Johan Axelsson) samman och låtarna kunde äntligen få låta som dom skulle. Under hösten 2008 kommer Tommy och bandet att spela in ett tiotal låtar.
